An international award-winning photographer, my passions are my cameras and wild things – birds, weeds, wildflowers and animals with an occasional bug or other creepy-crawly thrown in.

My previous website ( got too unwieldy and far too huge to manage. This is a replacement for it and I hope it will be easier to do updates and post new information and photos. This website is one that will never be finished. I have been shooting birds and wildflowers/weeds digitally for over 10 years and have hundreds of thousands of images, but there are always more pictures to take, new “wild life” to discover and new things to research about them.

While this site, to date, is focused mainly on the plants and wild things I find in the Kelowna, BC CANADA area, a few are from elsewhere in BC and North America.

With over 15 years as a photojournalist, I have documented joys and tragedies, births and deaths. Nothing comes close, though, to the beauty, the drama and the serenity Mother Nature provides for us daily if we would only stop to look and listen. I frequently get sidetracked with the show she puts on for me, and I find a special joy capturing her artistic offerings with my cameras and sharing my art with others.

I hope you have found this site beneficial, learned about the plants in your neighbourhood and especially, that it has helped you see the artwork Mother Nature provides for us everywhere. If my photos have provided a smile or an “oooh” or an “ahhh”, please let me know. I appreciate comments – especially the nice ones. I delete rude or off-colour ones.

PLEASE NOTE: All photos and graphics on this site are copyrighted and may not be used in any way without written permission. Please do not “borrow” them.

My photos are for sale as inspirational posters, frameable prints, calendars, greeting and postcards and on mugs, mouse pads and a lot of other items. If you see something you’d like, please send an email to me at …

Sue: Birdhs here! Enjoying your website immensely, the links were enjoyable, too. We also are with WordPress, and Steve, my partner, has done extensive programming to ours. From your “bio” I suspect we are kindred spirits. See ya back at WC, Greg
